This year’s show will take place on Sunday July 1st 2012 at Athenry Co-Operative Mart and adjoining Teagasc grounds.
2012 will again feature sheep classes in the Athenry Show. These will appear in the schedule alongside a diverse range of classes including poultry, equestrian, Connemara classes, show-jumping, dogs! and other pets, art, photography, home crafts (knitting, sewing, wood-turning, stained glass, etc.), home baking, floral arrangements, and a selection of junior classes.
The committee, this year, extends an invitation to traders dealing in artisan foods to contact them with regard to selling their produce at the show, as well as extending this same invitation to the traditional mixture of trade stands.
